TEED ST LARDER Review

Today my Mum, Dad and I stopped at TEED ST LARDER for a coffee (I had a Hot Chocolate) and it was really enjoyable. Initially my first impressions of the place from the outside were that it looked ok, but once we went inside this changed, it had a great atmosphere there was lots of nice-looking food to choose from, the service was great and though it is not something that I usually comment on even the bathroom was nice. I would definitely go back here and would recommend it to anyone parsing through Newmarket who were looking for somewhere to have a drink and something to eat.
There was lots of nice-looking food here to choose from, we ended up getting a carrot cake, a chocolate and cherry brownie and a doughnut. I did not try the carrot cake but my Mum and Dad did and they thought it was moist with fantastic icing, all three of us tried the chocolate and cherry brownie and thought it was nice,  I also thought that it was not to sweet and texture wise it was what a brownie should be and not more like a cake. The best of the three was the made inhouse doughnut (which unfortunately I do not have a picture of), my Dad said “it was like a chocolate sugary cloud” and I have to say that I definitely agree, I said to my Mum that I would go back just for the doughnut, it was that good.
Along with the food we also got drinks, my Mum and Dad got coffee which they said was excellent with not too much froth as well as hot and strong. I got a hot chocolate (see picture above) which was really nice, not to sweet and another reason that I would go back.

Along with the great food there was the great atmosphere of TEED ST LARDER, there was music playing in the background, lots of people eating and drinking and temperature wise it was great as well because today it was quite warm outside so we sat inside and I did not feel any hotter even with a jacket on. And though this is something that I do not usually comment on when reviewing a place that I have been to eat or drink, I think will make an exception here because even the bathroom was really nice which is not something that can be said of every place that you go to.
The service was great here and the staff were friendly, they brought water to our table, asked us how everything was going, asked us if we wanted a menu not long after we had walked in the door and even had a brief conversation with my Dad about the doughnuts which is when we found out that they were made inhouse. The service here is another one of the many reasons why I would come back here the next time that I am in Newmarket.
If I had to rate TEED ST LARDER I would give it a 9 out of 10 for all of the reasons I mentioned above and because there was nothing at all that I disliked about my experience going there. I would highly recommend going here to anyone who was passing through Newmarket and was looking for somewhere to stop and have something to eat and drink.
