My Review of Avengers Endgame (2019)

Having been disappointed with how Avengers Infinity War (2018) ended I had mixed feelings about going to see Avengers Endgame, part of me was hopping this would be an epic superhero movie and another part was thinking it might be a disappointment like the last one fortunately it was the former.
I found that the plot was well paced and kept me interested for the whole three hours and was not slow at any point, and given how many characters the directors Anthony Russo and Joe Russo had to fit into the film I think they did a very good job with even some of the minor characters from  previous Marvel films getting some screen time.
As well as most of the characters we have come to expect from an Avengers film (Black Widow, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, and Captain America etc) Captain Marvel (played by Brie Larson) was also included.
From the small (in my opinion) amount of screen time that Larson’s character had I can see why people like the stand-alone film Captain Marvel (2019), though I think in this film Captain Marvel should have been given more screen time because she is supposed to be key to defeating Thanos (played by Josh Brolin) that being said it was great that the character was included.
One of the other characters included in this film that I particularly liked was Clint Barton aka Hawkeye who was last seen in Captain America: Civil War the reason why was that in a way he had become like Deadpool minus the humour and self-awareness. It also felt like he was more part of the Avengers and a more important member of the team than he had been in the previous films.
Overall, I found all of the characters included in this film to be enjoyable and well thought out in spite of there being a lot of them and some getting less screen time than others in this film.

If I had to rate this film, I would give it a 9 out of 10, it was much better than Avengers Infinity War (2018) and it made the ending of the last film make sense as well as not leaving me disappointed when it ended. In my opinion it has to be the best superhero movie ever made and the best Marvel movie yet. If you haven’t already seen the film I highly recommend watching the trailer below and going to see it as soon as you can.
